Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. As a child, she went to at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma's dream was to become an actor. As a young girl of 6she was enrolled into the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons for acting, singing as well as dancing. When she was 10 years old, Emma took part in a variety of Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie version of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was first cast in 1999. Emma was discovered by Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first film on the screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which was released in 2001. It broke all records in beginning-day and weekend-opening sales and became the top-grossing movie of 2001. The film was praised by critics and the performances of the three young stars. The widely distributed British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the film.
